Flows

A Flow is like a macro, a group of actions that starts in sequence.
You can chain as many actions as you like in a single pad, to accomplish complex cross-application tasks with a quick tap.
With Flows you can automate your repetitive tasks, so you can get rid of mindless
repetition and focus on what matters.

Reply & Archive

Wait for your input

Here you can see a practical example for the Wait action:
in this case it is used to take time to enter the desired message in the email.

It often happens to have in our inbox a bunch of mails that we postpone to archive because of our laziness.
Important messages no more needed, but useful to keep, stay for ages in our mailbox.
This macro makes it impossible to forget to archive them.

PS: Combine it with a Reply & Delete macro to create the perfect “mailbox-cleaner” combo.

This example Flow is made for Apple Mail, but you could do a similar one for every email client.
If you use Mail it’s important to check your actual view settings, since depending on which fields
you have visualized you may need to add or remove some “Tab” key press.
To avoid issues we added a Wait before “Send email”.
(Yep, it’s great for confirmation too)

How is it useful? by Silvia

This is for those of you who, like me, everyday spend time redirecting mails to your colleagues,
boss, employees, friends.. etc etc. I especially use this one to redirect mails to our support
while informing the user, because it saves me a lot of time.

Just to be super-sure everything goes as intended, we added a Wait before sending.

This is a must for me since I tweet all day long!
I use it to tweet quotes and funny news that I find online.
I select the part I want to share and Actions does the rest.

I am a truly methodical person; every morning I use this macro like
a ritual to open all the web-apps I use and the blogs I follow.

When I read short articles online I like to dig deeper
into issues that capture my attention or check for unknown words.
With this macro, all I have to do is select the word or phrase
I want to search for and wait for the path to follow.

Since I have several projects going on, my computer is always crowded
with many temporary folders and reaching the main ones always takes a lot of digging.
With this macro is much easier, a tap brings me exactly where I need to be.

This makes much easier for me to organize my photos after a shooting (yes, I do photography too :) )
First I scroll them manually one by one and use color tags (add link) to divide them.
When I finish my selection, one tap filters the goods ones (blue tag) and creates the “Approved” folder
and a last tap filters the unsure ones (orange) and creates the “Re-check” folder.
Oh, it can also be done with a single macro.

In my workflow, there are always documents that would probably need to be edited and checked several times.
I used to keep Evernotes or Google Docs pages open on my browser for weeks,
which is not great for you or your computer. Now I keep them in my “Actions” set,
a master set where all actions, snippets and links pertaining to Actions’ development and
I can keep my desktop clean while being always on track.

I would love to have the habit of being organized along the way of my workflow.
Truth is I leave tons of traces in Finder, mainly on the desktop and the download folder.
With this Flow, replicated for all my most used folders, I can tidy up in a snap.

Getting from idea to the right place to sketch it down in a second is priceless
